My name is Julia Pickett, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am the founder of FindWell Counseling, LLC, which I established in 2021.
My practice is entirely virtual (telehealth), allowing me to work with individuals located anywhere in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. I’m currently accepting referrals and look forward to supporting you on your path toward finding wellness.
Populations Served
I support adults seeking help with feelings of overwhelm, intrusive or unwanted thoughts, repetitive behaviors, anxious or negative thoughts, worry, fear, self-doubt, perfectionism. Disorders I work with and have expertise include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (hair pulling, skin picking, etc). I have a special interest in working with individuals who have co-ocurring OCD and Neurodiversity (ADHD and/or Autism). While clients may come to me for a specific issue in one of the categories above, I often provide tools and resources as individuals work through significant changes and life transitions (career changes, relationship challenges, death/grief) and learn to set and navigate healthy interpersonal boundaries.
Treatment Approach
To support growth and change, I use a person-centered approach founded on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). From this foundation I draw from various evidence-based techniques and theories such as Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Inference-based CBT for OCD (I-CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Written Exposure Therapy (WET) and Comprehensive Behavioral Model (ComB) for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (hair pulling skin picking, etc). I am also trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). I am LGBTQ+ allied.

Other Services
OCD Support Groups
Since 2023 I have offered ongoing support groups for adults living with OCD as a way of expanding accessibility and helping my clients benefit from peer support. Please read here about current group offerings.
Support for Clinicians with OCD
In 2022 I started my first support group for clinicians with OCD. This led to several types of specialized support for clinicians: several ongoing support groups for clinicians with OCD as well as a guided experiential learning group for clinicians to learn I-CBT treatment by focusing on their own symptoms.
