Advanced Workshop:
Developing Interactive Visual Tools to Empower Visual Learners in I-CBT Therapy
Why Interactive Visual Tools?
Psychotherapy is dominated by verbal processing. This means that people who don’t learn primarily through verbal processing are potentially missing out on better treatment outcomes. The combination of interactive learning and dynamic visual tools (as opposed to static images) has proven to be the secret to deeper processing, new insights, and lasting retention of concepts for my clients. Visuals can also help people express their experiences more effectively.
If you have a creative side and prefer to process visually, this workshop is for you! In this workshop, I will show you how I use two platforms every day in my practice: Quenza and Excalidraw to support visual learners. In this workshop I will be using a sample course I’ve created for Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for OCD. But you can apply these tools to any treatment modality!
What’s In It for Me and My Clients?
Stand out in our field by offering innovative, visual-based approaches. Satisfy your creative itch as a therapist. Most importantly, they empower your clients to unlock insights and achieve breakthroughs that might not be possible with words alone.
